Intel Building Lung

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

We all breathed in a little Intel building that brisk morning as our own Mike McGill did the honors. Still amazes me how nothing was done to repurpose the structure somehow. Click the image below to see the rest of the photos.

Avocado Industries Icon

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

I’m creating a vector graphic for Avocado Industries, a company that specializes in food styling, jewelry and fine art. The client wanted a retro propaganda poster style icon for her website (which I’ll be redesigning too). Here are the first sketches and starting point. I only did one version so far because she had a very clear vision of what she wanted and we’ll be working on it together tomorrow.

Guitar prep work

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

So far I propped it up on my sofa and a nightstand, gave it a spongebath, and sanded it to give it some texture for the primer to stick to. Fiberglass dust is no bueno for your lungs, hence the snazzy face mask, eye protection, and gloves.

Then I started lightly sketching it in because I’ll be using a dark and a light primer coat to make things easier on me down the road. I’ve pretty much given up on maintaining any kind of order in my house, so I went ahead and painted my wall a crazy green shade while I was already making a mess.
